Gadget Recs

Low-end, high care.

About

Gadget Recs is a small, independent label based in Berlin. It was never meant to be a grand statement—just a place to put music we care about out into the world, and a reason to bring people together in the process.

At its core, Gadget is about bass-heavy electronic music. Sounds that live in the low-end, that move with patience and weight. But more than that, it’s about building something slowly and with care—without pressure, without pretending, and without trying to follow any particular blueprint.

Most of the people involved in Gadget are friends. That’s not a branding angle—it’s just how it happened. From the artists to the mastering engineer to the person who designed the artworks, the label exists as an excuse (a good one) to pull people in and make something together. Collaboration comes first, and if something good comes out of it, that’s a bonus.

DIY, to us, isn’t about a certain look or sound—it’s about how we work. It means staying hands-on, making decisions with people rather than for them, and trusting in a process that’s not always linear or polished. The label is built bit by bit, track by track, conversation by conversation. We’re not in a rush. And we’re not aiming to scale. We just want to give space to the things and people we believe in.

Berlin is home, but the project isn’t limited by geography. It’s shaped more by energy than location—a shared sense of curiosity, care, and love for deep sound. The kind of music that doesn’t demand attention, but rewards it.

We don’t know exactly where it’s going, and that’s part of the point.
